σκληροκαρδία, σκληροκαρδιας, ἡ (σκληρός and καρδία), a Biblical word, the characteristic of one who is σκληρός τήν καρδίαν (Proverbs 28:14), or σκληροκάρδιος (Proverbs 17:20; Ezekiel 3:7); hardness of heart: Matthew 19:8; Mark 10:5; Mark 16:14; for לֵבָב עָרְלַת, Deuteronomy 10:16; Jeremiah 4:4; Sir. 16:10; καρδία σκληρά, Sir. 3:26, 27.
