ὀρθρίζω: 3 person singular imperfect ὤρθριζεν; (ὄρθρος); not found in secular authors ((cf. Winers Grammar, 26; 33; 91 (87)); Moeris (p. 272, Pierson edition) ὀρθρευει ἀττικως, ὀρθρίζει ἑλληνικως); the Sept. often for הִשְׁכִּים; (cf. Grimm on 1 Macc. 4:52 and on Wis. 6:14); to rise early in the morning: πρός τινα, to rise early in the morning in order to betake oneself to one, to resort to one early in the morning, (Vulg. manico ad aliquem), Luke 21:38, where see Meyer.
