Acts 17:26 has hitherto been regarded as the only instance from Biblical or profane Greek of this compound = ";boundary"; (cf. Winer-Schmiedel Gr. p. 22), but it is now found in a closely allied sense in Priene 42ii. 8 (after B.C. 133) δικαίαν εἶναι ἔκριναν τὴν ] Ῥωδίως κρίσιν τε καὶ ὁροθεσίαν, ";ils décidèrent que le jugement des Rhodiens et leur délimitation étaient équitables"; (Fouillac Recherches, p. 37).
