I stain, defilement, esp. by murder or other crime, taint of guilt, A. Eu. 169 (lyr.), 281, etc.; οὐκ ἔστι γῆρας τοῦδε τοῦ μ. Id. Th. 682; μ. φεύγων αἵματος E. Hipp. 35; μ. τῶν φυτευσάντων λαβεῖν S.
