λοιποìν
Neuter singular of the same as G3062
λοιπός, λοιπή, λοιπόν (λείπω, λέλοιπα) (from Pindar and Herodotus down), the Sept. for יֶתֶר, נותָר, שְׁאָר, left; plural the remaining, the rest: with substantives, as οἱ λοιποί ἀπόστολοι, Acts 2:37; 1 Corinthians 9:5; add, Matthew 25:11; Romans 1:13; 2 Corinthians 12:13; Galatians 2:13; Philippians 4:3; 2 Peter 3:16; Revelation 8:13; absolutely, the rest of any number or class under consideration: simply, Matthew 22:6; Matthew 27:49; Mark 16:13; Luke 24:10; Acts 17:9; Acts 27:44; with a description added: οἱ λοιποί οἱ etc., Acts 28:9; 1 Thessalonians 4:13; Revelation 2:24; οἱ λοιποί πάντες, 2 Corinthians 13:2; Philippians 1:13; πᾶσι τοῖς λόγοις Luke 24:9; with a genitive: οἱ λοιποί τῶν ἀνθρώπων, Revelation 9:20; τοῦ σπέρματος, Revelation 12:17; τῶν νεκρῶν, Revelation 20:5; with a certain distinction and contrast, the rest, who are not of the specified class or number: Luke 8:10; Luke 18:9; Acts 5:13; Romans 11:7; 1 Corinthians 7:12; 1 Thessalonians 5:6; 1 Timothy 5:20; Revelation 11:13; Revelation 19:21; τά λοιπά, the rest, the things that remain: Mark 4:19; Luke 12:26; 1 Corinthians 11:34; Revelation 3:2. Neuter singular adverbially, τό λοιπόν what remains (Latinquod supcrest), i. e.
a. hereafter, for the future, henceforth (often so in Greek writings from Pindar down): Mark 14:41 R T WH (but τό in brackets); Matthew 26:45 (WH omits; Tr brackets τό); 1 Corinthians 7:29; Hebrews 10:13; and without the article, Mark 14:41 G L Tr (WH (but see above)); 2 Timothy 4:8; cf. Herm. ad Vig., p. 706. τοῦ λοιποῦ, henceforth, in the future, Ephesians 6:10 L T Tr WH; Galatians 6:17; Herodotus 2, 109; Aristophanes pax 1084; Xenophon, Cyril 4,4, 10; oec. 10, 9; al; cf. Herm. ad Vig., p. 706; often also in full τοῦ λοιποῦ χρόνου. (Strictly, τό λοιπόν is 'for the future' τοῦ λοιποῦ, 'in (the) future'; τό λοιπόν may be used for τοῦ λοιποῦ, but not τοῦ λοιποῦ for τό λοιπόν; cf. Meyer and Ellicott on Galatians, as above; Buttmann, §§ 128, 2; 132, 26; Winers Grammar, 463(432).)
b. at last; already: Acts 27:20 (so in later usage, see Passow or Liddell and Scott, under the word).
c. τό λοιπόν, dropping the notion of time, signifies for the rest, besides, moreover (A. V. often finally), forming a transition to other things, to which the attention of the hearer or reader is directed: Ephesians 6:10 R G; Philippians 3:1; Philippians 4:8; 1 Thessalonians 4:1 Rec.; 2 Thessalonians 3:1; ὁ δέ λοιπόν has the same force in 1 Corinthians 4:2 R G; λοιπόν in 1 Corinthians 1:16; 1 Corinthians 4:2 L T Tr WH; 1 Thessalonians 4:1 G L T Tr WH.

For λοιπός with a subst. cf. P Oxy II. 242.18 (A.D. 77) τὰ λυπὰ (l. It is used absolutely in P Ryl II. 229.13 (A.D. 38) τοῦ λοιπ (οῦ) τῆς τιμῆ (ς) τοῦ χόρτου, ";the rest of the price for the hay,"; P Giss I. 78.3 (ii/A.D.) For τοῖς λοιποῖς πᾶσι in Philippians 1:13, ";apparently a vague phrase = everywhere else,"; Kennedy (EGT ad l.) compares CIG I. 1770 ἐπεὶ καὶ ἐν τοῖς λοιποῖς πᾶσιν φανερὰν πεποήκαμεν τήν τε ἰδίαν καὶ τοῦ δήμου τοῦ Ῥωμαίων προαίρεσιν. The neut. sing. is frequently used adverbially, sometimes with the idea of time ";henceforth"; (2 Timothy 4:8), as in P Oxy I. 119.8 (ii/iii A.D.) λοιπόν), ";and if you do go to Alexandria, I won’t take your hand, or greet you again henceforth,"; and sometimes simply to mark transition to a new subject like an emphatic οὖν (1 Thessalonians 4:1 : cf. Milligan ad l.), as a few lines further down in the same letter, .13 λυπὸν πέμψον εἴ [ς ] με, παρακαλῶ σε, ";send for me then, I beseech you"; : cf. BGU III. 846.10 (ii/A.D.) (= Selections, p. 94) λοιπὸν οἶδα τ ̣ι ̣ [ποτ᾽ αἰμαυτῷ παρέσχημαι, ";furthermore I know what I have brought upon myself,"; P Iand 9.13 (ii/A.D.) For λοιπὸν οὖν, ";finally then,"; cf. BGU IV. 1078.6 (A.D. 39) λοιπὸν οὖν, ἐὰν λάβω τὰ κερμάμια (l. κεράμια or κερμάτια), ὄψομαι, τί με δεῖ ποιεῖν, ib. 1079.6 (A.D. 41) (= Selections, p. 39) λοιπὸν οὖν ἔλαβον παρὰ το (ῦ) Ἄραβος τὴν ἐπιστολὴν καὶ ἀνέγνων καὶ ἐλυπήθην. The transition to λοιπό (ν), τὸ λοιπό (ν), ";therefore,"; ";so,"; the regular meaning in MGr, may be illustrated by such passages from late Greek as Polyb. i. 15. 11 λοιπὸν ἀνάγκη συγχωρεῖν, τὰς ἀρχὰς καὶ τὰς ὑποθέσεις εἶναι ψευδεῖς, Epict. i. 22.15, 24. 1, ii. 5. 16, al. : cf. Schmid Atticismus iii. p. 135, and Jannari Exp V. viii. p. 429 f. For εἰς τὸ λοιπόν cf. P Petr III. 42 G(9).6 (mid. iii/B.C.), for τοῦ λοιποῦ (sc. χρόνου), ";henceforth,"; as in Galatians 6:17, cf. P Hal I. 1.171 (mid. iii/B.C.) –ετε), τῶν γὰρ πρώτων τεσσάρων ἡμ ̣ι ̣σους ἐπιστολὴν οὐκ ἔσχον, ";so in future write, for I have had no letter about the first four and a half metretae"; (Edd.), and for ὧδε λοιπόν, as in 1 Corinthians 4:2, cf. Epict. ii. 12. 24.
The subst. λοιπάς, ";remainder,"; ";arrear,"; which is described by LS8 as ";Eccl., Byz.,"; is found in P Gen I. 57.6 (iv/A.D.) ἕν [ε ]κεν τῆς λοιπάδος πυροῦ : cf. P Amh II. 152.3 (v/vi A.D.), P Oxy I. 136.13 (A.D. 583), and for the verb λοιπάζω see P Oxy IX. 1194.3 (c. A.D. 265) τὰ λοιπαζόμενα, ";the arrears."; Λοίπημα (not inLS.8) occurs in P Tebt II. 281.24 (B.C. 125) ἄνευ παντὸς λοιπήματος, ";without any arrears."; On λοιπογραφέω, ";allow to remain in arrears,"; see P Petr III. 53(p).4 (iii/B.C.) ἀνείεται λοιπογραφεῖσθαι, ";he is permitted to remain in arrears"; (Edd.), and P Hamb I. p. 9, and on the subst. see P Strass I. 77.5 (ii/iii A.D.) with the editor’s note.
