καταστρώννυμι is used of ";spreading"; or ";laying";dust in P Tor I. 1viii .18 (B.C. 117–6) μεταφέροντας αὐτοὺς κονίαν καταστρωννύειν ἐπὶ τοῦ δρόμου τοῦ Ἄμμωνος : cf. Aristeas 319 τρικλίνου πᾶσαν κατάστρωσιν.
