Vocabulary of the Greek NT

The noun occurs in BGU IV. 1026.15 (magical text, iv/v A.D.) αἱμάροιαν ἰᾶται —following a spell from Homer, described as αἱμαροικόν (Il. 1.75). Thumb (BZ xxii. p. 489) compares αἱματορροῦσα ";hemorrhage"; in MGr (Rhodes).
