On the seventh day the child died. But David''s servants were afraid to tell him that the child was dead, for they said, "Look, ... while the child was alive, we spoke to him, and he would not listen to us. ... So how can we tell him the child is dead? He may even harm himself .... "

On the seventh day the child died And the servants of David were afraid to tell him that the child was dead for they said Behold while the child was yet alive we spoke to him and he did not listen to us How then can we say to him the child is dead He may do himself some harm

On the seventh day the baby died. But David's servants were afraid to tell him the baby was dead. They said, "Look, while the baby was alive, we spoke to him, and he wouldn't listen to us. So how can we tell him the baby is dead? He may do something desperate."

How then can we tell him that the child is dead, since he might do {himself} harm!"

It happened on the seventh day, that the child died. The servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead; for they said, "Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spoke to him, and he didn't listen to our voice. How will he then harm himself, if we tell him that the child is dead?"
