And the couriers traveled from city to city through the land of Ephraim and Manasseh as far as Zebulun; ... but the people scorned ... and mocked them.

So the couriers went from city to city through the country of Ephraim and Manasseh and as far as Zebulun but they laughed them to scorn and mocked them

The couriers traveled from city to city in the land of Ephraim and Manasseh as far as Zebulun, but the inhabitants laughed at them and mocked them.
