καὶ μετὰ τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο οὐκ ἐπέστρεψεν Ιεροβοαμ ἀπὸ τῆς κακίας αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπέστρεψεν καὶ ἐποίησεν ἐκ μέρους τοῦ λαοῦ ἱερεῖς ὑψηλῶν· ὁ βουλόμενος, ἐπλήρου τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐγίνετο ἱερεὺς εἰς τὰ ὑψηλά.
Berean Study Bible
Even after these events, Jeroboam did not repent of his evil ways, but again he appointed priests for the high places from every class of people. He ordained - - anyone who desired to be a priest of the high places.
English Standard Version
After this thing Jeroboam did not turn from his evil way but made priests for the high places again from among all the people Any who would he ordained to be priests of the high places
Holman Christian Standard Version
After all this Jeroboam did not repent of his evil way but again set up priests for the high places from every class of people. He ordained whoever so desired it, and they became priests of the high places.
King James Version
After this thing Jeroboam returned not from his evil way, but made again of the lowest of the people priests of the high places: whosoever would, he consecrated him, and he became one of the priests of the high places.
