German Talmudist; lived in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. He was a descendant of Meïr of Rothenburg, and, according to Michael, the son of Raphael ben Eliakim of Rothenburg. If Michael is correct, Eliakim was identical with the Swabian rabbi of the same name who with Isaiah Horwitz (SheLaH) and Azriel Mühlhausen signed in 1611 the halakic decision incorporated in Horwitz's Responsa (§ 118). Eliakim was the author of a commentary to the Targum on the Megillot, entitled "Ge'ullat ha-Ger," published anonymously at Prague in 1618. The author says in the introduction that he composed a commentary to the Targum on the Pentateuch.
