1. Wife of Caleb (son of Hezron) and mother of Hur (1 Chronicles 2:19,50; 4:4). 2. Another name for Bethlehem (Genesis 35:19, 48:7; Ruth 1:2, 4:11; Psalms 132:6; Micah 5:1). The name "Ephratah" occurs once (1 Chronicles 2:24) joined with "Caleb"—"Caleb-ephratah."
