- The last of the eleven sons born to David in Jerusalem (2 Samuel 5:16). In 1 Chronicles 3:6,8; 14:5,7, two sons of this name (A. V. "Elpalet" and "Eliphalet"; R. V. "Elpelet" and "Eliphelet") are mentioned, together with a son named Nogah, making the total thirteen.
- The son of Ahasbai (. 23:34), identical with Eliphal, the son of Ur (1 Chronicles 11:35), one of David's "thirty" warriors.
- The third son of Eshek, a descendant of Jonathan (1 Chronicles 8:39).
- One of the clan of Adonikam, who returned from the Exile (Ezra 8:13 = "Eliphalet," I Esd. 8:39).
- A Hashumite, married to a foreign woman (Ezra 10:33; I Esd. 9:33).
