Of Xativa; a convert to Christianity in the sixteenth century; his Jewish name is unknown. In his conversionist zeal he addressed a letter to the Jewish congregations of southern France, summoning them to accept Christianity (Paris, 1552). His works, originally written in Spanish, were translated into Italian by Domenico de Gaztela (Seville, 1537), and frequently reprinted (Leipsic, 1595; Venice, 1597; Utrecht, 1646). (Steinschneider, "Cat. Bodl." 4420).
