stō´riz : For the King James Version "stories" ( ma‛ălōth ) in Amos 9:6 , the Revised Version (British and American) reads "chambers" (in heavens); in Genesis 6:16 (ark); Ezekiel 42:3 , Ezekiel 42:6 (temple), the word is supplied. the Revised Version (British and American) in the latter verse reads in the text "the third story" (margin as in the King James Version). In 1 Kings 6:5 , 1 Kings 6:10 , the Revised Version (British and American) has "stories" (yācı̄a‛ yācūa‛ ; see TEMPLE ), and in Ezekiel 41:6 supphes "stories."
