ē´brun ( עברן , ‛ebhrōn ; the King James Version wrongly, Hebron ): A town in the territory of Asher (Joshua 19:28 ). Probably we should read here Abdon , as in Joshua 21:30; 1 Chronicles 6:74 , the substitution of the Hebrew letter resh (ר , "r") for the Hebrew letter daleth (ד , "d") being a common copyist's error. See ABDON .
