(Mary O'Connell; 1815-97) Nurse, born Limerick, Ireland; died Cumminsville, Ohio. She became a Sister of Charity in 1835, and during the Civil War in America was called "Ministering Angel of the Army of the Tennessee." The Hospital of the Good Samaritan, Cincinnati, was a gift to Sister Anthony from some Protestant business men of that city; she was in charge, 1866-82.
