Martyr. Born in Shropshire, England; died in 1582 at London, England. He was ordained at Douai, France, and sent to England in 1576. Arrested in 1580, he was imprisoned in the Tower, tried with Saint Edmund Campion and others, convicted of complicity in the pretended Rheims and Rome plot, and hanged. Beatified in 1886.
