A religious body organized in Scotland, 1843, by Reverend James Morison (1816-1893) and three other ministers with their congregations. Their ecclesiastical system is a modern independency, expressed in the "Doctrinal Declaration" of 1885. They were incorporated with the Congregational Union of Scotland, 1896.
