(Latin: in, manere, to remain in)
The quality of any action which begins and ends within the agent. In modernistic theology immanence has pantheistic connotations. God is in and of the essence of the universe. In man God unfolds Himself through the natural processes of, the soul. Such doctrines of immanence are destructive of the truths of a personal God distinct from the universe, as also of all things pertaining to supernature.
