Martyr, died Tyburn, England, 1535. He belonged to an ancient family of Warwickshire, joined the Carthusian Order, was ordained priest, and appointed procurator in the Charterhouse, London. Refusing to recognize the validity of Henry VIII's marriage with Anne Boleyn, he was arrested, imprisoned, and put to death. Beatified, 1886.
