Born Assisi, Italy, 1838; died Isola di Gran Sasso, 1862. He entered the Passionist Order, 1856, and was sent to study at Isola, where he died of consumption. Of a modest and retiring nature, his life was without any miraculous event and his great sanctity was not fully appreciated until after his death, when many miracles occurred at his tomb at Isola di Gran Sasso. Patron of youth, particularly of young religious. Canonized, 1920. Feast, February 27,.
