A beautifully illuminated manuscript, the choicest relic of Irish art, dating from c.800,now in Trinity College, Dublin. It contains the Four Gospels, a fragment of Hebrew names and the Eusebian canons. It is known also as the Book of Columba, probably because it was written in the monastery of Iona in honor of the saint.
