(died after 460) Archimandrite in Bithynia, born Constantinople. He gave up his military career and retired to Mount Oxia (Koüchdagh), near Chalcedon. Celebrated for austerity and miracles he was called to the Council of Chalcedon to influence the bishops to acknowledge its decrees. After the council he became a recluse on Mount Sinope (Skopas), near Chalcedon. At the foot of the mountain he founded the nunnery of Trichinarion. Relics, near Chalcedon. Feast, February 14,.
