The name given to a law regulating public worship in France enacted under Napoleon at the same time as the French Concordat was voted upon, and published with the Concordat in 1802. Although the French Governments down till the separation in 1905 held that the articles were inseparable from the Concordat, the Holy See refused to admit their validity as they had been promulgated without the knowledge of Pius VII.
