The vision of God enthroned upon the Cherubim is described in the Apocalypse 4,5. In His right hand tbere is a scroll sealed with seven seals. At the opening of four of these, four horses appear (Apocalypse 6), white, red, black, and pale (piebald); they signify conquest, slaughter, famine, and death.
