(ahf' ni) Name meaning, “high place.” Town allotted to Benjamin (Joshua 18:24 ). Ophni was likely in the vicinity of Geba and is perhaps Jifna, three miles northwest of Bethel near the intersection of the Jerusalem-Shechem road and the road leading from the Plain of Sharon to Bethel.
