(oh' deed) Personal name of uncertain meaning, perhaps “counter,” “restorer,” or “timekeeper.” 1. Father of the prophet Azariah (2 Chronicles 15:1 ). 2 . Prophet in the time of Anaz who urged the Israelites to release the people of Judah they had taken as prisoners of war (2 Chronicles 28:8-15 ).
