(mih sshehz' uh beel) KJV form of Meshezabel, a personal name meaning, “God delivers.” 1. Ancestor of one of those working on the wall (Nehemiah 3:4 ). 2 . One of the chiefs of the people witnessing Ezra's covenant renewal (Nehemiah 10:21 ). 3 . Member of the tribe of Judah (Nehemiah 11:24 ). All three are perhaps the same individual.
