Several of the many scattered references perhaps refer to the same person, though it is no longer possible to press identifications: 1. Levite musician during David's reign (1Chronicles 15:18,1 Chronicles 15:20 ). 2 . Participant in high priest Jehoida's revolt which put Joash on the throne (2 Chronicles 23:1 ). 3 . One of Uzziah's military officers (2 Chronicles 26:11 ). 4 . Son of King Ahaz of Judah (2 Chronicles 28:7 ). 5 . Governor of Jerusalem during the reign of Josiah (2 Chronicles 34:8 ). 6 . Father of false prophet Zedekiah (Jeremiah 29:21 ). 7 . Father of the priest Zephaniah (Jeremiah 21:1; Jeremiah 29:25; Jeremiah 37:3 ). 8 . Temple doorkeeper (Jeremiah 35:4 ). 9 . Postexilic resident of Jerusalem from tribe of Judah (Nehemiah 11:5 ), likely identical with Asaiah (1 Chronicles 9:5 ). 10 . Benjaminite ancestor of some returned exiles (Nehemiah 11:7 ). 11.-14 . Names of three priests and one layman in Ezra's time who had taken foreign wives (Ezra 10:18 ,Ezra 10:18,10:21-22 ,Ezra 10:21-22,10:30 ). 15 .
