Kadesh-Meribah

(kay' dehssh-mehr' ih buhh) TEV transliteration of a phrase from the Hebrew text of Ezekiel 47:19 . The name is translated in the KJV as “the waters of strife in Kadesh.” (See Numbers 20:2-13; Deuteronomy 32:51; compare Exodus 17:1-7 .) RSV has “Meribath-kadesh,” and NIV has “Meribah Kadesh” at Deuteronomy 32:51; Ezekiel 47:19 . NAS has “Meribah-kadesh” at Deuteronomy 32:51 and “Meribath-kadesh” at Ezekiel 47:19 . TEV has “When you were at the waters of Meribah, near the town of Kadesh” at Deuteronomy 32:51 . The same town as Kadesh-Barnea. See Kadesh-Barnea .
