(hoh' zay i) Personal name meaning, “seer.” NAS literal transliteration of Hebrew text of 1 Chronicles 33:19 making Hozai a prophet who recorded the reign of King Manasseh. Most translations follow Greek and one Hebrew manuscript in seeing one letter omitted from Hebrew, thus reading, “records of the seers” (NIV).
