(huh nam' ih ehl) Personal name meaning, “God is gracious.” Uncle of Jeremiah from whom the prophet bought the field in Anathoth (Jeremiah 32:7-12 ). Jeremiah's act symbolized God's long-range plans to restore the people to the land after Exile.
