אֶצְבֹּן

(ehz' bohn) Personal name perhaps meaning, “bare.” 1. Son of Gad and grandson of Jacob (Genesis 46:16 ). Numbers 26:16 has a similar sounding Hebrew name, “Ozni.” The Samaritan Pentateuch has a longer Hebrew name of similar sound, so that the precise spelling and pronunciation of the name are not known. Whatever the name, he was one of the Hebrews who entered Egypt with Joseph.
