Babylon is the land of visitation; actively, visiting with judgment Judah; passively, to be visited with judgment (Jeremiah 50:21). Margin, "rich and noble" in her prosperity above all kingdoms. Maurer explains, "the Babylonians and all the Chaldaeans (Ρekowd ), prefects (Shoa and Koa), rich," etc.
