Esther 9-10

The Feast of Purim

I. INTRODUCTION

A. Est_10:1 (NKJV) And King Ahasuerus imposed tribute on the land and [on] the islands of the sea.

Est_10:2 Now all the acts of his power and his might, and the account of the greatness of Mordecai, to which the king advanced him, [are] they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia?

Est_10:3 For Mordecai the Jew [was] second to King Ahasuerus, and was great among the Jews and well received by the multitude of his brethren, seeking the good of his people and speaking peace to all his countrymen.

1. When Jesus' work on the cross was complete, he said, "It is finished."

2. He is now seated at the right hand of God a much more powerful position that Mordecai's.

3. Unlike Mordecai, Jesus was not great among the Jews and well received by the multitude of his brethren.

4. But he too is seeking the good of his people and speaking peace to all his countrymen.

a) Will you give Him a chance?
