Verses 1-63
Joshua 15:13-19 The Inheritance of Caleb Joshua 15:13-19 records the account of Caleb receiving his inheritance in the Promised Land. Part of this story (Joshua 15:15-19) is repeated in Judges 1:11-15.
Joshua 15:13 And unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a part among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of the LORD to Joshua, even the city of Arba the father of Anak, which city is Hebron.
Joshua 15:13 Comments - Caleb was of the tribe of Judah, and Joshua was of the tribe of Ephraim (Numbers 13:6; Numbers 13:8).
Numbers 13:6-8, “Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh. Of the tribe of Issachar, Igal the son of Joseph. Of the tribe of Ephraim, Oshea the son of Nun.”
