¹⁸Then King David went in, sat in the Lord’s presence, and said, ¹⁸ Then David the king went in, and sat before the LORD; and he said, Who am I, Lord GOD, and what is my house, that you have brought me thus far? ¹⁸ Then went king David in, and sat before the Lord , and he said, Who am I, O Lord God ? and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto? ¹⁸ Then King David went and sat before Yahweh and said, "Who am I, my lord Yahweh, and what is my house that you have brought me up to this place? ¹⁸ Then King David went in and sat before the Lord and said, "Who am I, O Lord God , and what is my house, that you have brought me thus far? ¹⁸ Then King David went in and sat in front of the Lord . David said, "Lord God , who am I? What is my family? Why did you bring me to this point? ¹⁸ King David went in, sat before the Lord , and said, "Who am I, O Lord God, and what is my family, that you should have brought me to this point? ¹⁸Then King David went in and sat [in prayer] before the LORD, and said, "Who am I, O Lord GOD, and what is my house (family), that You have brought me this far? ¹⁸ Then David the king came in and sat before the LORD, and he said, "Who am I, Lord GOD, and who are the members of my household, that You have brought me this far? ¹⁸ Then King Dauid went in, and sate before the Lorde, and sayde, Who am I, O Lorde God, and what is mine house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?

And now, O Lord God, thou [art] that God,.... Who is the Lord of hosts, and the God of Israel, that has promised and is able to perform, and is faithful to his promise:

and thy words be true; are truly, punctually, and faithfully performed, never fail:

and thou hast promised this goodness unto thy servant; concerning building and establishing his house. David repeats this promise as being greatly affected with it, and fully assured of the performance of it.
