¹⁸ Then David the king went in, and sat before Yahweh; and he said, Who am I, O Lord Yahweh, and what is my house, that you have brought me thus far? ¹⁸ Then King David went in and sat before the Lord and prayed, "Who am I, O Sovereign Lord , and what is my family, that you have brought me this far? ¹⁸ Then David the king went in, and sat before the LORD; and he said, Who am I, O Lord GOD, and what is my house, that thou hast brought me thus far? ¹⁸ Then King David went in and sat in front of the Lord . David said, "Lord God , who am I? What is my family? Why did you bring me to this point? ¹⁸ King David went in, sat before the Lord , and said, "Who am I, O Lord God, and what is my family, that you should have brought me to this point? ¹⁸ Then king David went in, and sat before the LORD, and he said, Who [am] I, O Lord GOD? and what [is] my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto; ¹⁸ Then David the king went in, and sat before Yahweh; and he said, Who am I, Lord Yahweh, and what is my house, that you have brought me thus far? ¹⁸Then King David went in and sat [in prayer] before the LORD, and said, "Who am I, O Lord GOD, and what is my house (family), that You have brought me this far? ¹⁸ Then King David went in and sat before the Lord and said, "Who am I, O Lord God , and what is my house, that you have brought me thus far? ¹⁸ Forsothe Dauid the kyng entride, and satt bifor the Lord, and seide, Who am Y, my Lord God, and what is myn hows, that thou brouytist me hidur to?

And now, O Lord God, thou [art] that God,.... Who is the Lord of hosts, and the God of Israel, that has promised and is able to perform, and is faithful to his promise:

and thy words be true; are truly, punctually, and faithfully performed, never fail:

and thou hast promised this goodness unto thy servant; concerning building and establishing his house. David repeats this promise as being greatly affected with it, and fully assured of the performance of it.
