Simplified Cowboy Version

Hebrews 13

Keep on loving others as if they were your own brother or sister. 2 Open up your ranch gates to others. Some have been hospitable to angels and didn't even know it. 3 Don't forget those who've been thrown into prison. Pray for them as if you were right there with 'em. Don't forget those who are riding the roughest trails. Remember them as if you were suffering right alongside them.

Marriage should be held in the highest regard. The marital bed must be kept pure. It is just the husband and wife and no one else. God will judge those who are immoral and those who cheat on a marriage.

Don't have a hankerin' for money. Be glad about what ya got, because the Big Boss has said, "I ain't never gonna leave ya, nor forsake ya."

So we are more'n confident when we say, "The Lord rides beside me. I ain't afraid of nothing. People don't scare me at all. What could they do?"

Remember your teachers, leaders, and mentors who taught ya how to ride for the Lord. Remember how they lived and ride like they did.

Jesus ain't changing a lick. He's the same every day. 9 Don't listen to those selling new ideas. God's grace is what makes you strong, not following rules about food.

We have a sacrifice religious folks can't eat from. 11 Under the old code, priests brought the blood into the Holy Place, but left the bodies outside. 12 Jesus suffered and died outside the gates as well. His blood made his cowboys holy. 13 Let us not be afraid to venture outside the gates and suffer as he did. 14 Do not think this shell and this dirt is our forever home. We look forward to a new place that is perfect and without fault. A home that is to come.

Because of all this, we should offer a sacrifice of continuing thankfulness to God. We should steel ourselves to ride for him every single day. 16 Ride hard, help others, and share what you have. These are the kinds of sacrifices that make God smile.

Listen to those who God has appointed to lead you. Do what they say to do. They are held accountable to God for your guidance. Their work should be rewarding so don't make things hard on them. They shouldn't be filled with sorrow for their great works. Nothing good will come from you treating them ill.

Pray for us. We hold our heads high and live the lives God has commanded us to. 19 Pray that I can ride back and see y'all soon.

I pray that the God of peace, who raised Jesus from the dead, the great cowboy, the originator of the new code, 21 may he give you everything you need to ride for him. May he make you into the cowboy or cowgirl, through the power of Jesus Christ, he has called you to be that is pleasing to him. All honor and glory to him forever, amen.

I can't stress enough to y'all how much you should listen to the things I've written here for you. 23 Timothy has been let out of jail. If he comes here, we will ride over together to see y'all.

Say hello to everyone for me. The cowboys from Italy send their regards.

 God's grace rides with you.
