Psalms 116

1 (114-1) I have loved, because the Lord will hear the voice of my prayer.2 (114-2) Because he hath inclined his ear unto me: and in my days I will call upon him.3 (114-3) The sorrows of death have compassed me: and the perils of hell have found me. I met with trouble and sorrow:4 (114-4) And I called upon the name of the Lord. O Lord, deliver my soul.5 (114-5) The Lord is merciful and just, and our God sheweth mercy.6 (114-6) The Lord is the keeper of little ones: I was humbled, and he delivered me.7 (114-7) Turn, O my soul, into thy rest: for the Lord hath been bountiful to thee.8 (114-8) For he hath delivered my soul from death: my eyes from tears, my feet from falling.9 (114-9) I will please the Lord in the land of the living.

10 (115-1) I have believed, therefore have I spoken; but I have been humbled exceedingly.11 (115-2) I said in my excess: Every man is a liar.12 (115-3) What shall I render to the Lord, for all the things that he hath rendered to me?13 (115-4) I will take the chalice of salvation; and I will call upon the name of the Lord.14 (115-5) I will pay my vows to the Lord before all his people:15 (115-6) Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.16 (115-7) O Lord, for I am thy servant: I am thy servant, and the son of thy handmaid. Thou hast broken my bonds:17 (115-8) I will sacrifice to thee the sacrifice of praise, and I will call upon the name of the Lord.18 (115-9) I will pay my vows to the Lord in the sight of all his people:19 (115-10) In the courts of the house of the Lord, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem.
