“‘For this is what the Lord God says: I will deal with you according to what you have done, since you have despised the oath by breaking the covenant.
For thus says the Lord GOD: I will also deal with you as you have done, who have despised the oath in breaking the covenant.

For thus says Lord Yahweh, "I will also do with you as you have done, you who have despised the oath by breaking the covenant.
For this is what the Lord GOD says: 'I will deal with you according to your deeds, since you have despised the oath by breaking the covenant.
The Lord said: Jerusalem, you deserve to be punished, because you broke your promises and ignored our agreement.
"For here is what Adonai Elohim says: ‘I will do to you as you have done — you treated the oath with contempt by breaking the covenant.
For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will even deal with thee as thou hast done, who hast despised the oath, and broken the covenant.
This is what the Lord God said: "I will treat you like you treated me! You broke your marriage promise. You did not respect our agreement.
For thus says the LORD God: I will even deal with you as you have done, because you have despised my oaths and nullified my covenant.
The Sovereign Lord says, "I will treat you the way you deserve, because you ignored your promises and broke the covenant.
‘For thus says the Lord Yahweh: And I will do it to you according to what you have done, who despised the oath to break covenant.

"Yea, thus says the Lord GOD: I will deal with you as you have done, who have despised the oath in breaking the covenant,
For thus said the Lord Jehovah: I have dealt with thee as thou hast done, In that thou hast despised an oath -- to break covenant.
"‘ God , the Master, says, I'll do to you just as you have already done, you who have treated my oath with contempt and broken the covenant. All the same, I'll remember the covenant I made with you when you were young and I'll make a new covenant with you that will last forever. You'll remember your sorry past and be properly contrite when you receive back your sisters, both the older and the younger. I'll give them to you as daughters, but not as participants in your covenant. I'll firmly establish my covenant with you and you'll know that I am God . You'll remember your past life and face the shame of it, but when I make atonement for you, make everything right after all you've done, it will leave you speechless.'" Decree of God , the Master.

For thus saith the Lord God,.... And what he says may be depended upon as truth, and what will certainly come to pass:
I will even deal with thee as thou hast done; reward them according to their works; or execute the law of retaliation upon them; and reject them, as they had rejected him; and cast them off from being his people, since they had forsook him as their God; they being the aggressors and transgressors of the covenant, he was under no obligation by virtue of that to bless and protect them:
which hath despised the oath by breaking the covenant; the covenant at Mount Sinai; or which was made in the plains of Moab, which had an oath annexed to it, Deuteronomy 29:12; but by breaking the covenant, which they did by their many abominations, they despised the oath by which they were sworn to keep it; and therefore it was but just with God to do with them as they had done with him and his covenant. The words are by some rendered, "I might even deal with thee as thou hast done" i, c. I should be justified in so doing, and you could not justly complain of me but I will not, as follows:
