Psalms 46
God, the Refuge of His People.
1 God is our (C1)refuge and strength,
A (F1)very (C2)ready help (C3)in (F2)trouble.
2 Therefore we will (C1)not fear, though (C2)the earth shakes
And (C3)the mountains slip into the heart of the (F1)sea;
3 Though its (C1)waters roar and foam,
Though the mountains quake at its swelling pride. Selah
4 There is a (C1)river whose streams make the (C2)city of God happy,
The holy (C3)dwelling places of the Most High.
5 God is (C1)in the midst of her, she will not be moved;
God will (C2)help her (F1)when morning dawns.
6 The (F1)nations (C1)made an uproar, the kingdoms tottered;
He (F2)(C2)raised His voice, the earth (C3)quaked.
7 The LORD of armies (C1)is with us;
The God of Jacob is (C2)our stronghold. Selah
8 Come, (C1)behold the works of the LORD,
(F1)Who has inflicted (C2)horrific events on the earth.
9 He (C1)makes wars to cease to the end of the earth;
He (C2)breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two;
He (C3)burns the chariots with fire.
10 "(F1)Stop striving and (C1)know that I am God;
I will be (C2)exalted among the (F2)nations, I will be exalted on the earth."
11 The LORD of armies is with us;
The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah
