Israel Invoked to Praise the LORD.

^1 (F1)Praise ^(F2)the LORD!
Sing a ^(C1)new song to the LORD,
And His praise ^(C2)in the congregation of the godly ones.

² Israel shall be joyful in ^(C1)his Maker;
The sons of Zion shall rejoice in their ^(C2)King.

³ They shall praise His name with ^(C1)dancing;
They shall sing praises to Him with ^(C2)tambourine and lyre.

⁴ For the LORD ^(C1)takes pleasure in His people;
He will ^(C2)glorify the lowly with salvation.

⁵ The ^(C1)godly ones shall be jubilant in glory;
They shall ^(C2)sing for joy on their beds.

⁶ The ^(C1)high praises of God shall be in their ^(F1)mouths,
And a ^(C2)two-edged ^(C3)sword in their hands,

⁷ To ^(C1)execute vengeance on the nations,
And punishment on the peoples,

⁸ To bind their kings ^(C1)with chains,
And their ^(C2)dignitaries with shackles of iron,

⁹ To ^(C1)execute against them the judgment written.
This is an ^(C2)honor for all His godly ones.
