Prayer for the LORD'S Help.

¹ To You I have ^(C1)raised my eyes,
You who ^(C2)are enthroned in the heavens!

² Behold, as the eyes of ^(C1)servants look to the hand of their master,
As the eyes of a female servant to the hand of her mistress,
So our ^(C2)eyes look to the LORD our God,
Until He is gracious to us.

^3 (C1)Be gracious to us, LORD, be gracious to us,
For we have had much more than enough of ^(C2)contempt.

⁴ Our soul has had much more than enough
Of the ^(C1)scoffing of ^(C2)those who are at ease,
And of the ^(C3)contempt of the proud.
