In the first place went the standerd of the hoste of the children of Iudah, according to their armies: and Nahshon the sonne of Amminabad was ouer his band.
In the first place went the standard of the camp of the children of Judah according to their armies; and over their host was Nahshon the son of Amminadab.
In the first [place] the standard of the camp of the children of Yehudah set forward according to their hosts: and over his host was Nachshon the son of `Amminadav.
The three divisions from Judah's camp went first. They traveled under their flag. The first group was the tribe of Judah. Nahshon son of Amminadab was the commander of that group.
The standard of the camp of the people of Judah set out first by their companies, and over their company was Nahshon the son of Amminadab.
And in the first place the standard of the camp of the children of Judah set forward according to their hosts: and over his host was Nahshon the son of Amminadab.
First the flag of the children of Judah went forward with their armies: and at the head of his army was Nahshon, the son of Amminadab.
Judah and the tribes that camped alongside it marched out first, carrying their banner. Nahshon son of Amminadab was the leader of the Judah tribe,
In the lead was the banner of the camp of the descendants of Y'hudah, whose companies moved forward; over his company was Nachshon the son of ‘Amminadav.

And they first set in motion the order of the camp of the children of Juda with their host; and over their host was Naasson, son of Aminadab.
And in the first place the standard of the camp of the children of Judah set forward according to their hosts: and over his host was Nahshon the son of Amminadab.
First, the divisions of the camp of Judah set out under their banner, with Nahshon son of Amminadab in command.
The standard of the camp of the descendants of Judah set out for the first time according to their divisions, with Nahshon son of Amminadab over its division.
And in the front, the standard of the camp of the sons of Judah pulled up stakes , by their armies. And over its army was Nahshon the son of Amminadab.
The divisions from the camp of Judah moved first under their flag. Nahshon son of Amminadab was the commander.
The standard of the camp of the Judahites set out first according to their companies, and over his company was Nahshon son of Amminadab.
The standard of the camp of the children of Judah set out first according to their armies; over their army was Nahshon the son of Amminadab.
Judah's troops led the way. They marched behind their banner, and their leader was Nahshon son of Amminadab.
The flag of the people of Judah left first, by their armies. Amminadab's son Nahshon was the head of their army.
So the standard of the camp of the sons of Judah set forward first, by their hosts, and over his own host, was Nahshon, son of Amminadab;
The sons of Juda by their troops: whose prince was Nahasson the son of Aminadab.
The standard of the camp of the men of Judah set out first by their companies; and over their host was Nahshon the son of Ammin'adab.
and each time they moved, they were in the same order. Those under the banner of the division led by the tribe of Judah started out first, company by company, with Nahshon son of Amminadab in command.

The flag of the camp of Judah led the way, rank after rank under the command of Nahshon son of Amminadab. Nethanel son of Zuar commanded the forces of the tribe of Issachar, and Eliab son of Helon commanded the forces of the tribe of Zebulun. As soon as The Dwelling was taken down, the Gershonites and the Merarites set out, carrying The Dwelling.
The standard of the camp of Judah set out first, company by company, and over the whole company was Nahshon son of Amminadab.

the first place: The following is the order in which this vast company marched:
JUDAH Issachar, Zebulun, Gershonites, and Merarites, bearing the tabernacle. REUBEN Simeon, Gad, Kohathites, with the sanctuary. EPHRAIM Manasseh, Benjamin. DAN Asher, Naphtali.
Among other things, it should be remarked, that, according to a well-known rule of military tactics, the advanced, and rear-guards, were stronger then the centre.

In the first [place] went the standard of the camp of the children of Judah,.... Which tribe had the honour to go foremost and lead the van, the chief ruler, the Messiah being to come of it, as he did; who is King of Israel, and has gone forth at the head of them, fighting their battles for them:
according to their armies: having, besides the army of the tribe of Judah, the armies of the tribes of Issachar and Zebulun under his standard:
and over his host [was] Nahshon the son of Amminadab; he was captain general of the army of the tribe of Judah, as Nethaneel was over the host of the tribe of Issachar, Numbers 10:15; and Eliab over the host of the tribe of Zebulun, Numbers 10:16; the same commanders as were fixed at the time of settling the order of their encampment, Numbers 2:3.
