Hosea's Redemption of Gomer

¹ Then the LORD said to me, "Go again, love ^(F1)a woman who is loved by her ^(F2)husband, yet is committing adultery, ^(C1)as the LORD loves the sons of Israel, though they turn to other gods and love ^(F3)raisin ^(C2)cakes."² So I ^(C1)purchased her for myself for fifteen shekels of silver, and a ^(F1)homer and a ^(F2)lethech of barley.³ Then I said to her, "You shall ^(C1)live with me for many days. You shall not play the prostitute, nor shall you have another man; so I will also be toward you."⁴ For the sons of Israel will live for many days ^(C1)without a king or leader, ^(C2)without sacrifice or ^(C3)memorial stone, and without ^(C4)ephod or ^(F1)(C5)household idols.⁵ Afterward the sons of Israel will ^(C1)return and seek the LORD their God and ^(C2)David their king; and ^(C3)they will come trembling to the LORD and to His goodness in the last days.
