Hebrews 4
The Believer's Rest
1 Therefore, let us fear if, while a promise remains of entering His rest, any one of you may seem to have (C1)come short of it.2 For indeed we have had good news preached to us, just as they also; but (C1)the word (F1)they heard did not profit them, because (F2)it was not united by faith in those who heard.3 For we who have believed enter that rest, just as He has said,
"(C1)AS I SWORE IN MY WRATH, "(C2)TODAY IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE,
THEY SHALL NOT ENTER MY REST,"
although His works were finished (C2)from the foundation of the world.
DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS."
14 Therefore, since we have a great (C1)high priest who has (C2)passed through the heavens, Jesus (C3)the Son of God, let us hold fast our (C4)confession.15 For we do not have (C1)a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been (C2)tempted in all things as we are, yet (C3)without sin.16 Therefore let us (C1)draw near with (C2)confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
