"And may The Strong God bless you and give you many, many children, a congregation of peoples; and pass on the blessing of Abraham to you and your descendants so that you will get this land in which you live, this land God gave Abraham."
A David Psalm
When I call, give me answers. God, take my side! Once, in a tight place, you gave me room; Now I'm in trouble again: grace me! hear me!Pushed to the wall, I called to God ; from the wide open spaces, he answered. God 's now at my side and I'm not afraid; who would dare lay a hand on me? God 's my strong champion; I flick off my enemies like flies. Far better to take refuge in God than trust in people; Far better to take refuge in God than trust in celebrities. Hemmed in by barbarians, in God 's name I rubbed their faces in the dirt; Hemmed in and with no way out, in God 's name I rubbed their faces in the dirt; Like swarming bees, like wild prairie fire, they hemmed me in; in God 's name I rubbed their faces in the dirt. I was right on the cliff-edge, ready to fall, when God grabbed and held me. God 's my strength, he's also my song, and now he's my salvation. Hear the shouts, hear the triumph songs in the camp of the saved? "The hand of God has turned the tide! The hand of God is raised in victory! The hand of God has turned the tide!"
Gill's Notes on the Bible
The words of a talebearer [are] as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly. These expressions are the same with those in Proverbs 18:8; and are here repeated, as being found along with others by the men of Hezekiah, Proverbs 25:1; as some others likewise are; and also because of the importance of them; and to impress the minds of men with a sense of the evil of such a practice, that they may shun it, and avoid those that are given to it. Proverbs 25:1- :.
