Psalms 46
God Is Our Refuge and Strength
1 God is our (C1)refuge and strength,
(F1)A very (C2)present help (C3)in (F2)trouble.
2 Therefore we will (C1)not fear, though (C2)the earth should change
And though (C3)the mountains shake into the heart of the (F1)sea;
3 Though its (C1)waters roar and foam,
Though the mountains quake at its lofty pride. Selah may mean Pause, Crescendo, Musical Interlude">(F1)Selah.
4 There is a (C1)river whose streams make glad the (C2)city of God,
The holy (C3)dwelling places of the Most High.
5 God is (C1)in the midst of her, she will not be shaken;
God will (C2)help her (F1)when morning dawns.
6 The (F1)nations (C1)roar, the kingdoms shake;
He (C2)gives His voice, the earth (C3)melts.
7 Yahweh of hosts (C1)is with us;
The God of Jacob is (C2)our stronghold. Selah.
8 Come, (C1)behold the works of Yahweh,
(F1)Who has appointed (C2)desolations in the earth.
9 He (C1)makes wars to cease to the end of the earth;
He (C2)breaks the bow and cuts up the spear;
He (C3)burns the chariots with fire.
10 "(F1)Cease striving and (C1)know that I am God;
I will be (C2)exalted among the (F2)nations, I will be exalted in the earth."
11 Yahweh of hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah.
