God Is Our Refuge and Strength

¹ God is our ^(C1)refuge and strength,
^(F1)A very ^(C2)present help ^(C3)in ^(F2)trouble.

² Therefore we will ^(C1)not fear, though ^(C2)the earth should change
And though ^(C3)the mountains shake into the heart of the ^(F1)sea;

³ Though its ^(C1)waters roar and foam,
Though the mountains quake at its lofty pride. ^Selah may mean Pause, Crescendo, Musical Interlude">(F1)Selah.

⁴ There is a ^(C1)river whose streams make glad the ^(C2)city of God,
The holy ^(C3)dwelling places of the Most High.

⁵ God is ^(C1)in the midst of her, she will not be shaken;
God will ^(C2)help her ^(F1)when morning dawns.

⁶ The ^(F1)nations ^(C1)roar, the kingdoms shake;
He ^(C2)gives His voice, the earth ^(C3)melts.

⁷ Yahweh of hosts ^(C1)is with us;
The God of Jacob is ^(C2)our stronghold. Selah.

⁸ Come, ^(C1)behold the works of Yahweh,
^(F1)Who has appointed ^(C2)desolations in the earth.

⁹ He ^(C1)makes wars to cease to the end of the earth;
He ^(C2)breaks the bow and cuts up the spear;
He ^(C3)burns the chariots with fire.

¹⁰ "^(F1)Cease striving and ^(C1)know that I am God;
I will be ^(C2)exalted among the ^(F2)nations, I will be exalted in the earth."

¹¹ Yahweh of hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah.
